This site has been undergoing continuous metamorphosis since 1997. In its present shape it is far from perfect, but I'm pretty content with it for the moment. Many thanks to everyone who has sent comments, suggestions, and kudos to me over the years. Your feedback is much appreciated. To avoid potential misunderstandings, I wish to remind all visitors that I cannot be of any assistance contacting your friends, relatives, and mail-order brides who reside in Gomel. I left Gomel in 1992 and have not been back to Belarus since then. Any official practical (and impractical) information I know about Gomel is already on this website. While I did not originate most of the materials found on the site (the CyberGomel component excluded), I did collect, compile, edit and translate all textual and visual information.
