June 1, 2003 For the past couple of years, revisions
have been limited to semi-annual updates of CyberGomel with new member profiles
and minor alterations to other site components. Several other Gomel-related
websites created by current residents of the city have been created, making
further continuous updates to this site less pressing and necessary. "
Other relevant notes:

and KNIGA.Com have been disabled due to lack of interest and lack of
purchases made through the site. The affiliation with Amazon.Com has been
kept. In over 3 years, less than $10.00 toward donation to the Red Cross

A bit of ancient history... Since its founding
in 1997 this site has moved three times and has lived through a myriad of
transformations and reincarnations. It once included a Russian version which
eventually had to be recycled for the sake of a better English version and due
to lack of time necessary to adequately maintain a bilingual website. In its
current state the site is by no means exhaustive, but it represents most of the
Gomel-related resources available to me.
